Tommy and I met when we were fifteen at T-Bar-M summer camp. Looking back, we were just two young kids who connected instantly, unaware that God was already writing a story far sweeter than we could have ever imagined. After camp, we stayed in touch and remained friends. That genuine, easy friendship carried us through high school and college. We supported one another through every season and, time and time again, found our way back to each other. All along, God was gently shaping our hearts, teaching us patience, trust, and the beauty of His perfect timing.Eventually, life led us in different directions and into years of long distance. From Lubbock to Fort Worth and Houston to San Antonio, the miles were many. Through the hard days and countless long phone calls, we chose to keep God at the center of our relationship. He showed us that love centered on Him is built through consistency and trust. When our friendship turned into love, it felt steady, familiar, and easy—because God had been working with us all along. We’re grateful for a story that began at camp, was shaped by distance, and is now leading us forward—hand in hand, trusting Him every step of the way.
